Semper Paratus
September is National Preparedness
Month, but being prepared should be a year-round strategy. Hurricanes are not
the only disasters which could occur.
Whatever the disaster, be ready at all
times to take care of yourself for at least 72 hours (3 days). Emergency
personal and assistants may not be able to help you right away.
You may choose to spread out your
costs over the course of the year by purchasing only one or two preparedness
items at a time when going to the store. Keep your home supply of bottled
water, batteries and other items up to date at all times. Have a "go-bag"
ready year 'round in case you choose to evacuate.
